Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 20 May 2021, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 10 June 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions and learning and development actions, raised at their last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the childminder had met the welfare requirements notice by completing appropriate safeguarding training and updating their knowledge and understanding. They demonstrated better understanding regarding managing children's behaviour. They had however, not addressed the action relating to children's learning and development. We have issued actions for the childminder to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
• update knowledge of the characteristics of effective teaching and learning, to help to plan activities and implement a curriculum that supports all children's learning, including those with additional needs.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder responded to the action stating they had updated their knowledge regarding learning and development. This will be assessed at the next inspection.
p.1
