Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On the 16 February 2021, we received information that a significant event had occurred in relation to keeping children safe from harm. The provider had failed to notify Ofsted of this incident. This means that the provider had not met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of such instances. Due to the significance of the safeguarding information we received, on 16 February 2021 we suspended the provider's registration. This is because we believed children may have been at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 04 June 2021, we carried out an announced monitoring visit to the setting. We found that the provider demonstrates a poor understanding of safeguarding practice and does not have a clear safeguarding policy in place. Furthermore, the childminder does not have a suitable understanding of wider safeguarding practices, including identifying the risks of children exposed to radicalised or extremist views. We also found the childminder does not ensure that health and safety requirements are met. This includes ensuring the premises are hygienic and free from risks and hazards.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We have issued a Welfare Requirements Notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. Actions set are:
