Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Whilst routine and assurance inspections of early years and childcare provision remain suspended, we are continuing with EY regulatory work. We have completed additional regulatory work looking at the information that we hold about this provider.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 19 June 2020 we received concerns that the childminder was not meeting some of these requirements. On 16 July 2020 we carried out a regulatory visit. We instigated checks to ensure that all adults associated with the setting are suitable to do so. We also checked the action taken since the last inspection. The childminder now records the times of arrival and departure of children's attendance and the assistant holds a paediatric first-aid certificate. Additionally, we found that the childminder keeps records of any medication she administers to children. She ensures her home is safe and clean and that children are appropriately supervised.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 4 December 2020 we carried out a regulatory telephone call as part of the childminder's assistant's health check process. We found that the childminder was not meeting some of the requirements. We issued an action for the childminder to take. The childminder will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
• provide Ofsted with the required information about persons living in the household aged 16 years or over, so that the suitability process can be completed.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 21 December 2020, the childminder responded to the action set. We are now assured that all adults associated with the provision are suitable. The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.
p.1
