Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 6 January 2021, we received information that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 18 March 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call to the provider. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We issued actions for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n gain a secure knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, including understanding the appropriate action to take in the event concerns are raised,

p.1

Summary of outcome

n improve knowledge of what constitutes a significant event that must be notified to Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We visited the provider on 21 April 2021 and found that suitable steps had been taken to address the above actions. Additionally, during the visit, we found new areas of concern. This means that the provider was not meeting other requirements as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. In relation to the new areas of concern, we have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that Ofsted is provided with the required information about household members so that the appropriate suitability checks can be carried out

p.2

Summary of outcome

n ensure that the premises, including outdoor areas, are fit for purpose and suitable for the children attending.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 25 May 2021, we carried out an inspection of the provider. We found that the they had taken suitable steps to address the two actions due by 24 May 2021. However, there were further areas of concern, some were reoccurring issues relating to actions previously raised. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements. In relation to the new areas of concern, we have served a further welfare requirements notice in relation to the breaches of safeguarding and welfare requirements of the EYFS.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We suspended the provider's registration on 4 June 2021 because we believed children may have been at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider had a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider could not provide childcare for which registration was required while the suspension is in place and would have committed an offence if they did so.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We visited the provider on 9 June 2021 to monitor their progress. During this visit the provider resigned their registration.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider is no longer registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
