n The childminder has a secure awareness of how to provide exciting and fun activities that capture children's interests. She introduces new ideas to children during play, helping them to build on what they can already do and achieve. n The childminder assesses children's learning well, She has a sharp focus on what children need to learn next in their communication and language development, personal, social and emotional development and their physical development. However, her focus on some others areas of children's development is not as strong. This means any gaps in learning may not be identified as quickly. n The childminder supports children's communication and language particularly well. For example, she sits with the children, asking open questions and modelling the correct pronunciation of words.
