Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the ' Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage' . If we find a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 February, 1 and 2 March 2021, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 8 March 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. During the visit, we found the provider did not have an adequate understanding of the requirements, which put children at risk of harm. We also found that effective recruitment procedures had not been followed to ensure staff are suitable to work with children. As a result of these significant concerns, we suspended the provider's registration because we believed children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for Ofsted to make further enquiries and for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We also served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the action below within the timescales set out.

p.1

Summary of outcome

make sure recruitment and vetting processes are completed for all staff working at the nursery, and this must include recording information to demonstrate that they are suitable to work with children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider will be able to give parents further information about this matter. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 19 March 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider had improved their recruitment and vetting processes to ensure the suitability of staff working with children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 13 April 2021, the provider appointed a new nominated individual who had a secure knowledge of the requirements. As a result, we lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matters that led to the suspension. We are satisfied there is no risk of harm to children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider will be able to give parents further information about this matter. The provider remains registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of complaints

We publish details of complaints made against childminders, home childcarers and childcare providers where we or the provider have taken action in order to meet legal requirements.

p.2
