This monitoring visit
Monitoring systems ensure that plans for children are in place and reviewed when required. The independent visitor continues to monitor the progress and well-being of children. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, visits are mostly carried out virtually, using video technology. The independent visitor has, however, failed to consult or receive feedback from the children for a period of six months. This limits the effectiveness of the independent scrutiny of the quality of care at the home.
