Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the ' Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage' . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 5 February 2021, we received concerns that the childminder was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 February 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. During the visit, we found that the childminder has good procedures for recording and responding to accidents. The childminder offers children a wealth of learning opportunities that keep them motivated and engaged. Children play in the well-resourced playroom and enclosed back garden. At other times, the childminder takes children to places of interest, such as trips to the country park. These activities also help children to benefit from fresh air and exercise.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The childminder is able to meet the needs of all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. She has a childcare qualification and keeps her knowledge up to date through relevant training. The childminder works in partnership with parents and others to ensure children's safety and well-being. Overall, children are well cared for and thrive in this stimulating environment.

p.1

Summary of outcome

During the visit, we found that the childminder had failed to notify Ofsted about changes to her health, which is a significant event and a requirement of her registration. The childminder will be able to give parents further information about this matter.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1
