Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 5 March 2021, the provider notified Ofsted of a significant event involving the dismissal of a member of staff. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 8 March 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found that early stages of recruitment processes were robust and the manager was proactive in seeking clarification on information disclosed from applicants. However, we found that the provider's knowledge and understanding of procedures relating to disqualification was poor and that relevant information was not identified and appropriate action was not taken.
p.1
Summary of outcome
improve knowledge and understanding of procedures for disqualification, to ensure that the provider is alert to relevant information and can take appropriate action.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We monitored the action taken by the provider. We found that the provider had completed additional training for 'Safer Recruitment' and refreshed their knowledge and understanding of disqualification and waiver process. Policies for recruitment and suitable people had also been updated. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare action raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
