Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2 . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 14 November 2018, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be requires improvement. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 3 November 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider has improved risk assessments as required, particularly in relation to the trampoline. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised.

p.1

Summary of outcome

However, during the interim visit we found new areas of concern that indicated that the provider was not meeting one of the requirements as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 February 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting one of the requirements. We have issued actions for the provider to take by 12 March 2021.

p.1

Summary of outcome

- develop knowledge and understanding of the requirement to notify Ofsted, in a timely manner of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider, including changes to health. On 4 March 2021 the provider informed us of the action taken to meet the above requirement. The provider has taken appropriate action to improve their knowledge and understanding of changes that must be notified to Ofsted. We are satisfied that the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
