Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On the 18 and 20 December 2019, we received notifications from the provider that raised concerns that they were not meeting some of the requirements. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility to notify Ofsted of significant events. Following this we spoke with the provider on 3 January 2020. We have issued the provider with a notice to improve that requires them to take the actions below by 27 January 2020. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

- ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are maintained and implemented, particularly in relation to allegations against staff, so children are safeguarded effectively

p.1

Summary of outcome

- develop a secure understanding of the responsibilities under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 to make a referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service where a member of staff is dismissed because they have harmed a child or put a child at risk of harm.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 January 2020, the provider informed us of the action taken to meet the above requirements. We found that the provider has reviewed and revised their policies and procedures for safeguarding and ensured that staff have a clear understanding of the procedures to follow. The provider has a secure understanding of their responsibility under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. We are satisfied that the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration. We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
