Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 20 January 2021 we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 29 January 2021, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued a notice to improve. This notice requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescale set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
work more effectively with parents to ensure a two-way flow of information sharing is in place, this is with particular regard to behaviour management and strategies used to support this
p.1
Summary of outcome
promote the good health of children who attend the setting, for example, by following stringent hand-washing procedures and the use of appropriate equipment, to prevent the risk of infection to children and others
p.1
Summary of outcome
take steps to prevent unauthorised persons entering the setting, with particular reference to the security of the window in the kitchen
p.1
Summary of outcome
take all reasonable steps to ensure children are not exposed to risks in the setting, with regard to open windows, low-level glass in areas accessible to children, radiators and any cleaning materials
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied that the provider has taken the necessary steps to meet the action raised. They have fitted a device on windows to ensure the opening of these is restricted. Furthermore, risk assessments have been updated to ensure children are not exposed to risks, such as access to cleaning materials. The provider has fitted thermostatic controls on radiators to ensure these do not pose a hazard to children and applied safety film to low- level windows in areas accessible to children. The children now have access to liquid soap and paper towels to wash and dry their hands, limiting the risk of cross-infection. The provider ensures that any issues regarding children's behaviour are discussed and shared with parents to promote partnership working.
p.2
Summary of outcome
The provider remains registered with Ofsted.
