Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 January 2021, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 18 January 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 8 February 2021, we carried out a regulatory telephone call to monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions have been successfully completed. We found that the provider had reviewed all safeguarding polices. This supports her in taking appropriate action to identify and report possible concerns and to report any allegations to the relevant statutory children's services agencies and to inform Ofsted. Additionally, the provider and her assistants have completed safeguarding training and have further training booked.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider has reviewed the arrangements for the supervision of her assistants so that she is better able to support their professional development. She has improved the procedures for recording accidents and injuries and for informing parents of these. The provider has arranged further behaviour management training for herself and her assistants and continues to monitor this daily. She has also worked with specialist local advisers to ensure that she and her assistants understand how to offer effective support to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

We are satisfied that the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
