Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 19 August 2020, 8 September 2020 and 18 September 2020 the provider notified Ofsted about a number of issues affecting their compliance with the requirements of their registration, including health, child protection and complaints. A further notification was received from the provider on 22 October 2020, advising of an incident whereby a child had been left unsupervised within the setting. These notifications mean that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of significant events at the nursery. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 18 November 2020, we carried out a regulatory visit. In addition, we conducted a regulatory telephone call on 14 January 2021. We found that the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider has ensured that all staff are familiar with the procedures for managing children's transitions between rooms within the setting, to ensure that children are always within sight and/or hearing which ensures children's safety.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All staff have completed training to improve their knowledge and understanding of how to manage allegations and safeguarding concerns. The provider has prioritised support through supervisions to ensure that all staff know and follow the setting's safeguarding policies to protect children at the nursery.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider has reviewed the medication procedures and implemented further checks and monitoring of children's health needs. The provider has ensured that all staff attended training on how to manage children's health care plans, to ensure that children's health is protected at the nursery.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
