Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 24 October 2019, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 11 September 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider had taken steps to improve the security of the premises to safeguard children and improved risk assessment procedures to ensure that there were no risks or hazards to children's safety. She had improved her knowledge and understanding of the procedures for reporting concerns about children's welfare to the local safeguarding children's services. Records of children's hours of attendance are now maintained effectively and the provider fully understands the importance of this to safeguard children. The provider has also undertaken training and professional development to support her understanding of how young children learn.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised.
p.1
Summary of outcome
During the visit, we found a new area of concern. This means that the provider was not meeting other requirements as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.
p.1
Summary of outcome
In relation to the new area of concern, we have issued an action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted. Action needed by 29 September 2020:
p.1
Summary of outcome
Ensure that Ofsted are notified of any changes to household members over the age of 16 years, so that appropriate vetting checks can be carried out.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the action raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
p.2
