Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 3 December 2019, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 25 November 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that new systems for recording vetting processes for staff have been implemented and senior staff are supported to understand their roles and responsibilities. We were able to view all necessary documentation on request.

p.1

Summary of outcome

However, we also found that not all committee members have submitted the necessary forms to Ofsted so that suitability checks can be completed. In addition, we found that Ofsted had not been kept up to date with changes to the management structure.

p.1

Summary of outcome

Although some of the safeguarding and welfare actions had not been met during the visit, the provider took the necessary steps to put matters right. Therefore, no further action has been taken.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
