Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 12 November 2019, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 19 October 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider had an appropriate safeguarding children policy in place, which is shared with her assistant and children's parents. The childminder had also improved her knowledge of procedures to follow should an allegation be made against anyone who works with children. Accident records are now completed with the required information and the childminder understands how to accurately complete medication records. Risks are identified within the environment and the childminder ensures children only have access to age appropriate, suitable toys and resources. Additional steps have been taken to ensure the home and garden are securely maintained so that children cannot leave the premises unattended. The childminder implements effective hygiene routines to help prevent the spread of infection. Children are provided with a healthy, balanced diet with fresh fruit and vegetables being consistently provided throughout each day.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
