Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 4 December 2018, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be not met. The inspection report sets out the action the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 30 September 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare action raised at their last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider had not met the action set. We have therefore served a welfare requirements notice. Additionally, during the visit, we found new areas of concern. This means that the provider was not meeting other requirements as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. We included this additional concern in the welfare requirements notice. A welfare requirements notice is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the action below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Action needed by 15 October 2020: ensure that all staff, including those with lead responsibility for safeguarding, have a secure knowledge and understanding of the procedures to follow if an allegation is raised against a member of staff
p.1
Summary of outcome
maintain accurate daily records of the names of children looked after on the premises and their hours of attendance.
p.2
Summary of outcome
On 16 October 2020, we monitored compliance with the welfare requirements notice issued. We found that the provider had ensured that all staff had a secure knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and now maintains accurate daily records of the names of children looked after on the premises.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
p.2
