Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 13 February 2020, we received information which raised concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. We liaised with other agencies and discussed the information with the provider. We found that the provider had failed to notify Ofsted of changes and significant events which may affect their suitability or the suitability of any person who cares for, or is in regular contact with, children on the premises. Failure to notify Ofsted of such matters, without reasonable excuse, is an offence. On this occasion, we accepted that the provider had not intended to deceive Ofsted and the failure to notify was an oversight. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this matter.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We requested additional checks to help to ensure the provider's continued suitability. The provider failed to undertake these and has failed to further engage with Ofsted. The provider is still registered with Ofsted. However, we have decided to take steps to cancel the provider's registration. The provider did not appeal to the First-tier Tribunal against our decision. The providers registration is therefore cancelled.

Publication of complaints

We publish details of complaints made against childminders, home childcarers and childcare providers where we or the provider have taken action in order to meet legal requirements. We publish details of complaints on our website for a period of five years.
