Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 5 September 2019, we carried out an inspection and found the childminder was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be requires improvement. The inspection report sets out the actions the childminder was asked to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 29 September 2019, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim visit process by telephone call. The focus of the call was to check whether the childminder had met the safeguarding and welfare action raised at the last inspection. We found that the childminder has undertaken further training to improve her knowledge and understanding of wider safeguarding matters. She was able to explain how she would identify if a child was at risk of being exposed to extreme views and behaviour and female genital mutilation. We also found that the childminder has updated her child protection policy so that it is in line with Surrey County Council protocols. In addition, the childminder has appropriate systems in place to keep up to date with any future changes.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the childminder has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.
