In addition to the above we found that the provider had failed to notify Ofsted of a new assistant. All registered early years providers must notify Ofsted or the CMA with which they are registered of any change to the persons caring for children on any premises where childminding is provided. A registered provider who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with these requirements commits an offence. On this occasion the provider was able to provide a reasonable excuse, so they have not committed an offence.
