Summary of outcome

Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

p.1

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 17 December 2018, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be requires improvement. The inspection report sets out the action the provider was asked to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 14 September 2020, while routine inspections were suspended, we carried out an interim telephone call. The focus of the call was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare action, raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider now ensures that she submits the required information to Ofsted to enable checks to be undertaken on all persons over the age of 16 in the household. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare action raised. However, the provider did not tell us of a change in household members. She does now understand that she should have done this and will do so in the future. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years commencing on the date we complete our investigation.
