Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 6 February 2020 we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements of the early years foundation stage. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. We served a welfare requirement notice. This is a legal notice that requires the childminder to take action. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 22 June 2020 we contacted the childminder to check compliance with the actions listed in the welfare requirement notice issued at the inspection. It was found that the childminder had taken action by ensuring that adults working with the children have up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues and understand their roles and responsibilities to safeguard children. The childminder has improved the key person system and strengthened the processes in place to develop the assistants' knowledge and skills. She ensures that fresh drinking water is available to children at all times. She has improved the procedures for responding to children who are ill or infectious, so their good health is promoted. She has improved her knowledge and understanding of matters that must be notified to Ofsted. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at the last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
