For example, older children take time to help younger children thread the ribbon through their Mother's Day cards. n The childminder works well with parents. She uses a range of methods to communicate with parents, such as verbal feedback and electronic communication. They share information about what children have been doing and what activities children will be taking part in. They show deep concentration as they write a message to their mother. They attempt to spell various words, using their growing knowledge of letters and the sounds they represent. n The childminder has established clear boundaries to keep children safe when outside of the home. For example, all children wait at the pavement to cross the road. Children know where it is safe to walk ahead of the childminder and where they must wait. n Children's behaviour is very good. Children thrive on the childminder's clear and consistent routines. For example, all children know where to put their bags. They line up quietly at the front door and wait for the childminder to open it. They take off their shoes, put them on the shelf and hang up their coat before
