p.1
Summary of outcome
On 5 March 2020, the provider notified us that there had been a safeguarding incident in her home. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider. The childminder also admitted that some children had been left on their own for approximately four minutes. This is a breach of requirements that requires providers to ensure children are safe. They must ensure that children are adequately supervised to meet their needs. The childminder failed to implement her sickness policy and failed to meet the statutory requirement that providers take necessary steps to prevent the spread of infection and take appropriate action if children are ill.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We have served a notice to improve. This is a notice that asks the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
