Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 24 January 2020 we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. In addition, on 24 January 2020, the provider notified us that a child in her care had been left unsupervised. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of a significant event. Although it was not part of the original concerns, we also found that the provider has not considered all potential risks in her home, does not hold a current paediatric first-aid certificate, leaves her assistant in sole charge of children and he

This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

Summary of outcome
We monitored the provider's compliance with these requirements on 10 February 2020. We found that the provider had met the actions to make sure hazardous substances are inaccessible to children, ensure that all children are continually supervised by her, and she had obtained and recorded required information about children. She had not completed paediatric first-aid training. However, the provider was able to explain appropriate first aid treatment for a baby or a child who is choking, signs of a concussion and procedures if resuscitation is required. Although it was not part of the original concerns, we also found that the provider does not keep all required records. We have issued a Welfare Requirements Notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
