Children show that they are extremely happy and comfortable in their surroundings. The childminder creates a very welcoming and stimulating learning environment. Children enjoy the time they spend with her and show excellent engagement and behaviour. Children are provided with very good play and learning experiences. For instance, they delight in participating in fun art activities where they name, discuss and count different fruits from the story 'Handa's Surprise'. During the activity, the childminder gives the children lots of praise and encouragement and supports their new knowledge well. Children also have fun reading stories and being introduced to a wide range of new vocabulary. In addition, they enjoy playing with balls and a hoop outdoors and playing on swings, which promotes their physical development effectively. Children also have good opportunities to learn new mathematical language, for instance, when completing shape sorters with the childminder. Although children receive high-quality teaching and learning experiences, on occasions, the childminder could challenge children's learning even further and more effectively support them to make links to their prior knowledge.
