The provision is good
Children show that they feel safe and secure, as they confidently engage with the childminder and visitors, offering them toys and play food. Children are creative and take part enthusiastically in planned and spontaneous activities. For example, they use a range of tools to make marks and develop good early writing skills. Children enjoy different role-play games and show an interest in magnetic numbers and letters. They are very pleased with themselves when they compare the letter 'O' to the colour and the orange fruit. The childminder provides a range of age- appropriate and interesting toys for children and supports their play well. She supports young children's growing communication and language skills as she involves them in word games and puzzles and plays alongside them. Children are happy as they move freely in the childminder's well-organised home, which she maintains in good condition to promote their health and hygiene. They learn about

The childminder teaches children about the importance of healthy eating through mealtime routines and exercise. She teaches them about personal hygiene and to listen and to follow instructions. n Children explore interactive toys and musical instruments with awe. They dance with excitement as they hear the sound of music and develop their coordination and physical skills effectively. n Children have good opportunities to learn about their local community and

16 March 2020 and shares regular ongoing information about children's progress and achievements. She tracks their progress effectively and plans well for next steps in their learning. Parents say that they are happy with the progress their children make and fully trust the childminder's care practice and the activities she provides. However, although the childminder has a clear overview of what children can do, she does not provide further challenges during some activities to help children make the best possible progress in their learning. n The childminder has made good progress since her previous inspection and has greatly improved her understanding of how children learn in the early years. She has also worked on developing her professional skills through a range of training.
