At the interim inspection in December 2019, Ofsted judged that the home had declined in effectiveness. Significant concerns were found in respect of the safeguarding of young people and the management of the home. As a direct result, Ofsted made the decision to suspend the home’s registration from 17 December 2019 to 9 March 2020. Three compliance notices were also issued.

This monitoring visit
A second monitoring inspection took place on 5 March 2020. The home remained compliant with the suspension notice and had met the compliance notice under regulation 14. However, there had been limited progress in other areas and the compliance notices under regulation 12 and 13 were reissued. Ofsted made the decision to suspend the home’s registration for a further period from 9 March to 1 June 2020. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 1245984 2 At this inspection, progress had been made regarding the regulation 12 compliance notice and this was considered met.
