Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage' (EYFS) , which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 27 January 2020 we received concerns that the childminder might not be meeting EYFS requirements in relation to ratios. It was alleged that the childminder, was caring for too many children on the way home from school and that they were not being kept safe.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We carried out an unannounced visit and found it difficult to confirm how many children were being cared for as there were no records of children's attendance. This is a breach of requirements. This is the second time that the childminder has been in breach of this requirement. It was also not clear whether the registered childminding assistant had been helping with the children as there was no log of her hours.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We also found that the childminder did not have a complete first aid kit available in the house. We found that she also did not have one with her on the school run or to the playgroups and the park that they attend every day. This is a further breach of requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We have served a Welfare Requirements Notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Ensure there is a first aid box accessible at all times with appropriate content for use with children. By 18 February 2020.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Ensure there is a daily record of the names of the children being cared for on the premises and their hours of attendance. By 18 February 2020.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We carried out a further unannounced inspection and found that the welfare requirement have been met in satisfactory manner.
