p.1
Summary of outcome
On 8 January 2020 we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. We received concerns that the childminder's bathroom was not clean and hygienic and that the kitchen was quite messy. Concerns were also raised that the childminder is operating another business while she cares for children. We carried out an unannounced visit to the home on the 30 January 2020. It was found that the bathroom is not clean and hygienic for children's use. The childminder also had several items on the floor in the kitchen, which reduces her access to the whole of the kitchen. The childminder states that she does operate another business, however she does not do this during the hours that she cares for children. Though not part of the original concern it also came to light that the childminder is not keeping a record of every child's attendance.

Summary of outcome
ensure that the daily record of attendance includes all children that attend. By 31 January We carried out an announced visit to the setting on the 5 March 2020 to assess if sufficient action had been taken to improve the quality of provision. We found that the childminder has worked to clean the bathroom as much as possible to make it a healthier environment for children to access. She has cleared the floor in the kitchen and cleared the work surfaces to give her more space for preparing meals for children. The childminder also now keeps a record of attendance for all children that attend.
