p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has made some improvements since his last inspection but he still has a limited understanding of how to observe, assess and plan for children's ongoing learning and development. He does not have a good understanding of statutory assessments that need to be completed for children between the ages of two and three years. n The childminder has a suitable understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures to keep children safe. He carries out risk assessments and understands how to assess and minimise risks in his home and outings to help keep children safe. n The childminder understands the procedures to follow when giving medication and the type of information that he needs to record. n The childminder has a good range of policies and procedures. He has undertaken mandatory training in safeguarding and first aid. He has valid public liability insurance. n The childminder understands the need to make good relationships with children

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
