p.2
children and young people since the most recent full inspection
Children are given the opportunity to personalise their bedrooms and to make suggestions about how the home should be furnished. As a result of this engagement, children have been involved in designing a new reading area that has lighting, seating and a selection of books of their choice.
p.2
children and young people since the most recent full inspection
The manager ensures that staff maintain well-informed placement plans and risk assessments. However, care plans do not always include children’s views. This represents a missed opportunity to enable children’s decisions about their day-to-day care to be formally captured.
p.2

Staff ensure that children receive high levels of supervision and support. Occasionally, a child will go missing from the home. When this happens, staff search for the child and use all resources to secure the child’s whereabouts.
p.2

Staff receive a wide range of training to help them to develop the skills to work with children and meet their needs. However, one member of staff has not completed their level 3 diploma in residential childcare within the required timescale.
