The provision is outstanding

The well-established, extremely experienced and consistently outstanding childminder provides an inspiring, highly stimulating and welcoming environment to ignite children's interest in learning while in her care. New children settle very quickly and develop exceptionally close emotional bonds with the childminder. Highly effective settling-in procedures enable the childminder to share essential information about the children with their parents from the onset of her care. Children thrive and flourish from the childminder's high expectations of them. The skilful childminder supports older children to be mindful of younger, newer children. She uses age-appropriate language to support their emerging friendships and provides positive requests to display kind and gentle behaviour towards each other. n The childminder is meticulous in her self-evaluations to ensure her practice and provision are of the highest standard. She specifically completes training and participates in webinars to build upon her professional knowledge and reflect on improving her practice. This means that the children are in constant receipt of high-quality teaching methods. n The childminder networks with other childminders within the local community. Together, they attend toddler groups, library sessions and local parks and woods, as well as take turns to host play dates in their own homes. These rich experiences help to develop children's respect for people and communities beyond their own and increase their confidence in social situations. n The childminder intelligently supports children to understand why certain rules are in place and how their behaviour can affect others. For example, they talk about healthy foods which are good for their tummies and bodies and how throwing away tissues once they have been used helps to reduce the amount of germs around them. n The childminder skilfully interweaves early mathematical language into everyday play experiences, for instance when reading much loved stories such as 'The Three Little Pigs'. Children compare sticker sizes and shapes and count how many stickers are being placed on their pictures. They make attempts to join in with the counting using number names randomly during their play. The
