Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 February 2020 we received a notification from the provider and also received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. We informed the provider of the concerns, asked them to look into these and provide us with a response setting out any action they needed to take to continue to meet the requirements of registration. The provider told us what they had done to put things right. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

Summary of outcome

Policies and procedures regarding the outdoor play area have been updated to ensure that supervision of children is thorough and effective.

p.1

Summary of outcome

Staff each have responsibility for specific children and must ensure that they arrive and leave the outdoor play area together. Senior staff oversee both morning and afternoon trips to the outdoor play area. Registers will be taken, and staff will ensure that headcounts are effective and accurate on arrival and departure.

The provider has met with the staff and discussed the changes to the procedures. These changes will be an ongoing discussion in team meetings, staff supervision and training between managers and staff.

We are satisfied with the action taken by the provider.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years commencing on the date we complete our investigation.
