Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 22 January 2020 we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We carried out an unannounced visit and found that the provider could not show us the relevant checks they had completed to confirm the suitability of all member of staff who were working with the children. We found that inductions for newer staff had not been completed and the provider had failed to let us know of all of the members of staff who were working in the setting so that we could complete all of the necessary checks to ensure that they are suitable to have regular contact with children. Although the provider could show us evidence of some qualifications that the adults working in the setting hold, this did not cover the whole staff team. In addition to this sufficient risk assessments had not been completed to ensure that the sleeping areas children used were safe.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We issued a notice to improve. This is a notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider responded to these actions and told us that they had, checked the qualifications that the members of staff hold to ensure that this meets the requirements, and that all but one of the members of staff had completed the forms so that Ofsted can check their suitability. They told us the member of staff who had not done this was soon to do so. We were told that the provider had updated all of the relevant information about checks on their staff that they had carried out. The provider said that they had given responsibility for carrying out risk assessments to a suitable member of staff. We were told that all members of staff had now completed their inductions. The provider told us that they had contacted their local Environment Health Department and sought their advice on changes to the premises and were following the guidance that this department had given them.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
