Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

Summary of outcome
We monitored the action taken by the childminder by conducting an unannounced inspection on 6 September 2019. The childminder was judged to be inadequate and we took enforcement action to address the identified breaches of requirements. We found the childminder had not met the previous action raised regarding ratio requirements, so this was reissued. Following the inspection, we issued the provider with a further Welfare Requirements Notice. The breaches of requirements related to ratio, safeguarding knowledge and procedures, knowledge of safeguarding in the wider context, food and drink that is provided for children and ensuring assistants receive effective and regular supervision.
p.2
Summary of outcome
On 8 October 2019 we conducted a further visit to the childminder to monitor compliance of the actions set. We found that some of the actions had been met. These included the actions relating to ratio's, use of mobile phones in the setting, food and drink and safeguarding in the wider context. However, the childminder had not taken sufficient action to meet the statutory requirement relating to supervision of assistants. In addition, we found that the childminder had failed to follow safeguarding procedures. Following the visit, we reissued a Welfare Requirements Notice to address the continued breaches of the requirement relating to the supervision of assistants. We have suspended the childminder's registration to further explore the safeguarding concerns. Suspension allows time for the childminder to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children.

We will continue to monitor the childminder's compliance with the action required.
