Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 30 January 2020, we received concerns from another agency. The provider failed to notify us of this information within the prescribed timescale, which is a legal requirement. On this occasion we do not intend to take any further action in respect of this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We reviewed the information available and we made a decision to suspend the registration to allow Ofsted to liaise with other agencies and consider the information we had received. We have since lifted the suspension because we believe that children are no longer at risk of harm.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 4 February 2020, we conducted an announced visit. Following the visit we served a notice to improve that asked the provider to take action as specified by 17 February 2020:
p.1
Summary of outcome
improve understanding and ability to identify hazards in the areas used by the children including the garden and put in place preventative measures to minimise risks and keep children safe
p.1
Summary of outcome
improve knowledge and understanding of child protection including the ability to identify signs of possible abuse and neglect at the earliest opportunity, and to respond in a timely and appropriate way; this includes the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of the household to keep children safe.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider responded promptly to the notice to improve and we are satisfied with the action they have taken. The provider has completed training to improve their knowledge of child protection and confirmed that the rear garden will not be used as part of the childminding premises until such time it is safe and suitable. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
