p.2

children and young people since the most recent full inspection

There have been no children living at the home for over 12 months. The manager has addressed one of the requirements from the last inspection. The manager has now ensured that supervision is in place for new staff. Currently, the house is not ready for new children to move in. There are several outstanding jobs and repairs that need to be carried out. For example, furniture needs to be assembled and avoidable hazards need to be addressed. This includes ensuring that bedroom doors can be safely closed, that bedroom door handles are assessed, and that repairs are carried out to address areas of visible damage. The manager is still finalising staffing arrangements to ensure that there will be sufficient staff to meet the children’s needs. All remaining requirements and recommendations could not be fully assessed during this visit. These will be reconsidered at a future inspection. Inspection report children’s home: SC476292 3
