Summary of outcome
Early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, (EYFS) which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 20 December 2019, the childminder notified us of a safeguarding matter. The notification means that the childminder met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider or any person who cares for, or is in regular contact with, children on the premises to look after children.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Following a regulatory visit to the childminder on 6 January 2020, we sent the childminder a Notice to Improve. This requires the childminder to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The childminder will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
n implement processes to make sure you appropriately identify and manage risks. In this case ensure that your pets do not compromise effective hygiene practices, that your premises is secure at all times, and that children do not have access to equipment which could cause them harm by 20 January 2020.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder replied to the Notice to Improve within the agreed timescales. She described the measures she had taken to improve hygiene practices in relation to her pets, and she said that leftover food is cleared away promptly after children's mealtimes. She said that outer doors would be kept locked when children are present and that no equipment which could potentially harm children is accessible to them. We were satisfied with these actions. The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.
