Summary of outcome
We conducted an unannounced visit to the provider to check compliance with the WRN on 7 January 2020. The provider demonstrated that appropriate safeguarding training had been undertaken by all staff including the designated safeguarding lead. The provider told us that this training had improved staff knowledge and understanding of how to identify signs and symptoms of child abuse, how to help children who were at risk of abuse and how to manage allegations made against staff. All staff had undertaken appropriate paediatric first aid training. The provider had nominated an appropriately qualified deputy whom he was confident was able to take charge in the absence of the manager. Staff described being well supported and the provider described the ways in which he offered effective supervision to staff. The provider and staff described effective methods to promote children's behaviour. They also described how they worked together within multi-agency teams to support
