This stimulated children's interest in the activity and they learned new words that were meaningful to them. n The childminder further demonstrates her understanding of how children learn outdoors. For instance, the childminder knows the importance of sensory play and has installed a floor-level sand tray. The tray has a close-fitting cover to prevent animals from soiling the sand. This helps to illustrate the childminder's vigilant approach to managing risks to children's health and safety. n The childminder demonstrates a well-developed understanding of inclusion and equal opportunities. She describes how she teaches children values that help them to resist the influence of extreme views. Parents comment that the childminder helps children to develop compassion and empathy. n The childminder shows how she maintains written records that help her to promote children's welfare. This provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
