how she intends to assess children's progress in order to plan suitably challenging activities. n The childminder provides a welcoming environment for children. Through discussion, she demonstrates a good understanding of ways to support children to settle into her care. She describes suitable strategies for helping children to develop a positive self-image, such as through rewarding good behaviour. The childminder is aware of her responsibilities to prepare children for life in modern Britain. For instance, she describes activities that will help children to learn about communities that may be different to their own. n The childminder understands how to promote children's good health. For example, she ensures her first-aid training is current, and that she has appropriate resources to administer first aid.

This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
