She completes regular training to keep her knowledge up to date and makes effective use of early years online resources to give her ideas about activities. n The childminder is warm and caring towards children. Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are not effective.
p.3
Safeguarding
The childminder has failed to notify Ofsted about a new person living in the household. Consequently, Ofsted has been unable to carry out the required checks to determine their suitability, and children's welfare and safety are compromised. The childminder prepares the environment daily to ensure her home is suitable and she uses effective risk assessments to ensure children are safe on outings. She helps children learn about how to manage possible risks. For example, children confidently talk about the rules displayed and how they must treat and respect the pet cats. The childminder is up to date with her child protection training and has a good understanding of the procedures to follow if she has a concern about abuse or neglect. She talks to children about limiting screen time, and the dangers of the internet and social media.
