Summary of outcome

Early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, (EYFS) which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

On 14 October 2019, we received concerns that this childminder was not meeting some of these requirements. We have sent a Notice to Improve (NTI) to the childminder. This requires the childminder to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

Summary of outcome

The childminder responded to the NTI within agreed timescales. She told us that she had revised her child protection procedures and was confident these are now in line with the local safeguarding children partnership. She explained that she had reviewed the processes she follows for accurately recording children's attendance, and was certain that her records were now more manageable. We were satisfied with the childminder's response. The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.
