The provision is good

The childminder has a secure understanding of how children learn and supports their progress during play. She provides a wide range of resources for children to choose from, along with focused activities to target individual learning needs. Children are happy and confident in their play. The childminder uses teaching strategies that suit the needs and stages of development of all children. Children thoroughly enjoy using the outdoor area where they dig in the sand, make marks using chunky chalks and roll cars down ramps. They develop all-round physical skills. Additionally, the childminder helps them develop mathematical awareness as they count each car, discuss the speed of them and drive them up and down the hill. Children confidently negotiate space and are starting to understand boundaries to keep themselves safe. They are secure in their stimulating environment. The childminder has consistently high expectations for children and encourages them to

In addition, children use mathematical skills to solve problems as they work out which lid fits on which pumpkin and count 'hundreds' of seeds. n Behaviour is well supported throughout the day. The childminder uses consistent strategies to help children overcome disputes and regulate their emotions if they are struggling. She offers large amounts of praise and enthusiasm when children share or follow desired boundaries. n The childminder has good links with local schools and other early years professionals. She uses these connections to share good practice and seek
