Summary of outcome
On 11 November 2019, the provider notified us that a school-aged child went missing from her care during the school collection time. The child walked from the school to the childminder's home unsupervised. The childminder followed her lost child procedure and took swift action to try to find the child. The childminder has taken appropriate action to prevent an incident, such as this from recurring. She has tightened her collection procedures and reduced the number of children she collects when working alone. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the early years foundation stage welfare requirements to notify Ofsted of any significant events. There was a breach of requirement, however, due to the action taken by the provider, she is now meeting requirements. The provider remains registered with Ofsted.
