and young people since the most recent full inspection
This inspection focuses on whether the children’s home meets the statutory requirements in order to maintain its registration and is ready to accept placements. The home’s statement of purpose has been revised to reflect the change in registration conditions. The premises remain fit for purpose and the home is ready to admit children. Regular health and safety checks are carried out as required, as are the monthly visits by the independent visitor. However, the organisation is in the process of recruiting more staff. Staff already recruited are gaining valuable experience by working in the organisation’s other Inspection report children’s home: 1280237 2 children’s homes. The provider has agreed in writing with Ofsted not to admit any children until it has a full staff complement. The provider has agreed to inform Ofsted of its intention to admit children. Information about this inspection
Inspectors have looked closely at the experiences and progress of children and young people. Inspectors considered the quality of work and the differences made to the lives of children and young people. They watched how professional staff work with children and young people and each other and discussed the effectiveness of help and care provided. Wherever possible, they talked to children and young people and their families. In addition, the inspectors have tried to understand what the children’s home knows about how well it is performing, how well it is doing and what difference it is making for the children and young people whom it is trying to help, protect and look after.
