Information about this children’s home
This is a private children’s home which provides care and accommodation for up to five young people. The statement of purpose notes that the home provides care to young people who have multifaceted needs. The home has been without a registered manager since 3 July 2017. The home’s registration has been suspended since 12 September 2019. This means that the home is currently prohibited from providing care or accommodation to children and young people.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The main purpose of this monitoring visit was to establish if the home was complying with the suspension notice that Ofsted served on the provider on 12 September 2019 under section 20B of the Care Standards Act 2000. By serving this notice, Ofsted suspended the provider’s registration to operate as a children’s home from 12 September 2019 until 5 December 2019 inclusively. This visit concluded that the provider has complied with the suspension notice. The last young person to reside in this home moved out on 12 September 2019. No other children or young people have been admitted to or have lived in the home since that day. The home is not providing care or accommodation to any children and young people. Leaders and managers demonstrated this through their discussions with the inspector, the information recorded in the register of admissions/discharges and visitors’ book, and the tour of the physical environment.
