This provision meets requirements
The children respond well to the ethos of the childminder, who understands and meets their needs after a day at school by allowing them choice. They feel welcome, secure and valued in a safe environment. There are positive relationships throughout the setting and children are very well behaved. Children approach the childminder easily and play well with one another. They are willing to share equipment and take turns. need to do better?
3 October 2019 n Children benefit from a range of opportunities for outdoor play at the end of the school day. They often visit the park or play in the childminder's large garden. As they play, they learn to take appropriate risks and to challenge themselves. This gives them clear, consistent messages to exercise and develop their physical skills. n The childminder is accurate in her assessment of her strengths and weaknesses. She knows she meets the individual needs of the children in her care. She says she lacks confidence with 'paperwork' and this is a barrier to her developing her childcare provision further. n The childminder implements her policies well. For example, handwashing before food and as part of the toileting routine helps to reduce the risk of germs spreading. n Parents speak highly of the childminder. They are happy with the high quality of care their children receive and how well they have settled. The childminder and
